About Susan
Susan Cable is a Professor in the Department of Law and Criminal Justice at MCC, where she has taught since 1987. Previously she was employed as an Assistant Public Defender for Monroe County.
Ms. Cable graduated cum laude from Indiana University, Bloomington, Indiana in 1974 with a Bachelor of Arts degree in English and Germanic Languages. In 1980 she earned her law degree cum laude from Indiana University. She is admitted to the practice of law in the New York State and federal courts.
Ms. Cable is lead professor for CRJ 104 (Criminal Law) and CRJ 105 (Criminal Procedure Law). She also has taught CRJ 103 (Constitutional Law), Law 101 (Fundamentals of Law), and CRJ 171 (Legal Aspects of Corrections).
Ms. Cable is a recipient of the Master Teacher Award from the National Institute for Staff and Organizational Development at the University of Texas, Austin. She also was included in the fifth edition of Who’s Who Among American Teachers. She has served on many departmental, divisional, and college-wide committees at MCC and served for eight years on the Faculty Senate as senator, standing committee chairperson, and Vice President.
