Wednesday, May 6, 2009 Wednesday, May 13, 2009 Music Student Recitals Tuesday, April 14, 2009 Tuesday, April 28, 2009 Tuesday, May 5, 2009 The 40th Annual MCC Jazz Festival Now in its 40th-year of featuring outstanding artists, the festival features up-and-coming or established jazz artists along with the MCC Jazz Combo or Jazz Ensemble in concert. Previous guests have included: alto saxophonist Dave Glasser, the John Fedchock Big Band, Clay Jenkins, and the New Energy Jazz Orchestra. Activities during the day include an opportunity for area high school bands to be adjudicated by esteemed jazz educators qualifying them for individual and group performance awards which are announced at the evening concert. There is also a Master Class with the guest artist(s) in the late afternoon. Brought to you by the MCC Student Life Fee. Rock and Roll Review An evening with "Noon Flyte," MCC’s Vocal Jazz/Show Choir. Performances will include the many influences on Rock ‘n Roll from Bluegrass to Jazz as well as other Rock inspired styles that have evolved over the years.
