The membership is a lifetime membership and the $75 fee is only collected one time (upon induction).

What will be required of me if I join?

Nothing is required of our members. You can be as active as you want; itís entirely up to you. We will, however offer you services, activities, debates, conferences and more.

Phi Theta Kappa sounds like a Fraternity, what is it really?

It is NOT a Fraternity/Sorority. It is an Honor Society, which serves to recognize and encourage the academic achievement of the two-year college student and provide opportunities for individual growth and development.

If my GPA drops below 3.60 will I lose my membership?

The acceptable GPA after induction is 3.5. Even if your GPA falls below that you will still have at least one semester to bring it up again.

I canít come up with $75 for the membership fee, what now?

If you think you may have trouble with the membership fee donít let that stop you from receiving these benefits, please call 292-2533 or 292-2532. We can always work something out.

If you have any further questions feel free to stop by the Phi Theta Kappa office in 3-133 or the Office of Student Life and Leadership Development in 3-126. Or Room 5229 on the Damon City Campus.
