About Us...and what we can do for YOU!

In the Peer Assistant Resource Center (PARC), you will find a very diverse population of student leaders called Peer Mentors looking for ways to make your time and experience at MCC more purposeful and successful. We have Peer Mentors from Australia, South Africa, and India. We have Peer Mentors that are 18 years old to over 50 years old. We have Peer Mentors that are part-time students and fulltime students, commuter students and residential students, and student athletes and non student athletes. However you identify as a student, we most likely have a Peer Mentor that you can identify with. These students are trained to assist you in your transition through your academic career at MCC. They can provide you with support and encouragement or they can help you learn specific skills that will help you become a more successful student.
From how to deal with homesickness to balancing a check book, the Peer Mentors will present numerous programs throughout the year about issues that affect your lives every day. These programs will be presented by students who have faced or had a similar incident in their lives as the topic of their presentation. Come learn from your peers on how they handle similar issues that you may be facing as you progress through your academic journey.
It doesn't end there! Please stop by our temporary office at 3-138B or call us at 292-2552. We look forward to hearing for you!
