Meet The Staff
East & Central Canal Hall Staff:
Amy (Farley) Greer, Resident Director
Hello! I am Amy, the RD in East and Central Canal Hall. I am heading into my third year working at MCC, my second in this particular building. This summer, I got married, and so - pictured with me - is my husband, Dan. We both live in an apartment right in Canal Hall, so you will see him around the building sometimes. I love playing the piano, cooking, and playing with my kitten, Mattie (pictured below). I also like to hike, bike, and go camping with my husband. We are also both fans of the Cold Stone Creamery/Tim Hortons that is open all night!
Mattie, The Building Cat
Hi, I am Mattie, Amy's kitten. Although I do live in the building, as a student, you aren't allowed to have your pet with you. Sometimes, I love to run down the hallway when no one is looking, but I tend to stay inside Amy and Dan's apartment so that anybody who is allergic to me won't get sick. I like to play with furry catnip mice and chase a red LED light around the floor. When I'm resting, it's in a box lid on top of the fridge or in my window seat, which you can see from the hallway.
Ron Comstock, Resident Assistant, First Floor
Hello everyone! My name is Ron Comstock. I grew up in a small town, south of Buffalo, called Angola. My major is International Business, but I would like to concentrate on the business perspective of Environmental Sustainability. My future plans are to transfer to a school either in New York, Boston, Philadelphia, or Chicago. As you can see, I enjoy the city atmosphere, haha. I also enjoy traveling, taking pictures, watching movies, reading, working out, and most of all, being in the company of friends and family. If you need me for anything at all, don't hesitate to find me in Room 104, East Canal!
Candeisa Jordan, Resident Assistant, First Floor
Hello, I am Candiesa Jordan, and I am from a small town called Willard, NY, which is right between Geneva and Ithaca. This is my second year at MCC, and I am majoring in Liberal Arts - Educational Studies. I would ideally like to transfer to SUNY-Brockport, and eventually teach children with visual impairments. I like to play video games here and there, hang out with my friends, travel and take pictures. I am on East side, 110, and if you ever need anything, come visit!
Angelique Morrow, Resident Assistant, Second Floor

What do these people do?
What is a Resident Assistant?
A Resident Assistant (RA) is a designated student on your floor who is there to assist you with different aspects of your life while you are living with us in East Canal Hall. An RA makes themselves available to answer questions, assist with problems, help you get to know other students, provide fun/educational programs for you to attend, and yes, maintain order in the building. They have a lot of responsibilities, in addition to their classes, but they are placed here as a resource for you, and to ensure that you are safe and happy. Should you need help or have questions or suggestions throughout the year, visit your RA.
What is a Resident Director?
A Resident Director (RD), is a full-time professional staff member who also lives right in the building with you. An RD supervises the RAs, ensures the safety, welfare, and maintenance of the building, and provides another level of care and assistance to you. RDs also provide educational programming in the building. While an RD has an office and a desk, please do not let that deter you from getting to know us, or asking us for assistance. We are happy to help!
