When you arrive on campus

If you require accommodations, you will need to make reservations for your own accommodations.  We have held rooms for you at four local hotels.  When you call for reservations, please be sure to mention "MCC - Beyond the Formula", as the rate listed is a special rate for our conference, and it is good for reservations made prior to the cutoff date listed for each hotel.  After the cutoff date, room availability and rate is no longer guaranteed.  If the reservation clerk doesn't know about the special rate ask the local manager about it when you register.  Due to other functions being held in the area, August 2-7, 2005, you may want to make your reservations as soon as possible.

Some of these hotels offer a free shuttle service to and from the airport.  Make advance arrangements with the hotel, or use the courtesy phone in the luggage claim area when you arrive at the airport.

Cab service between the airport and MCC, or between the airport and the hotels listed below (approx. 4 miles), is also available.  The cost is approximately $10.00.

Be sure to bring your own tax-exempt form, otherwise you will need to pay the taxes, too.

Hotel Roommate Wanted List
We have received requests from participants wishing to share a hotel room to help reduce the cost of attending.  If you are interested in sharing a hotel room: 1) and have already registered, e-mail [beyondtheformula@monroecc.edu] the 5 information items listed below, 2) if you have not registered yet, include the last 3 items in the 2nd Name field on the Registration Form.

When your information is received, it will be added to the “Roommate Wanted List.”

From there:
·    The list will be forwarded to other registered participants who are interested in sharing a hotel room.
·    It is up to the participants to correspond and determine their roommate. 
·    BTF will NOT make roommate assignments.
·    Participants will make your own hotel reservations.
·    Participants will be responsible for any and all hotel charges. 
·    The BTF committee will not take any responsibility for any misunderstandings regarding the roommate relationships or any disputed hotel charges.

When you have established your roommate, please e-mail that information so that your names can be removed from the list.

Basic driving directions

As you approach Rochester from the:
East or west use the NYS Thruway, I90, exiting at Exit 46, at Henrietta.

South, use I390 North.

From the interchange of I90 and I390:

Take I390 North about 3 miles to Exit 14, the E. Henrietta Rd / Jefferson Rd exit; Turn left (heading north) onto E. Henrietta Rd.

• The Holiday Inn is immediate on the right (east) side of E. Henrietta Rd.
• For the Econo Lodge, turn left onto Jefferson Rd. and the hotel is short distance on right (north) side of Jefferson Rd.
• MCC is approximately 1.5 miles north on E. Henrietta Rd, and on the right (east) side of E. Henrietta Rd.
• The Hampton Inn and Wellesley Inn are both located just past (north) MCC and on the opposite (left, west) side of E. Henrietta Rd.
