Resident Director

Michael Sloyka is entering his 2nd year as the Alexander Hall Resident Director. He comes from SUNY Oswego, where he studied English Literature and Sociology. During his time at SUNY Oswego, he was the Assistant Director of the Campus Fitness Centers, in which he taught the personal training course and worked on wellness programming. He has also worked as a private personal trainer at various businesses. He remains active on the MCC campus in regards to physical fitness as he is the Faculty/Staff Advisor for the MCC Fitness and Wellness Club. In the past he has also worked as a Social Therapist for Emotionally Disturbed Children and in mediation. He lives with his wife, Kathy and loves film (he is also the Advisor to the MCC Cinema Society), reading and writing, exercise, cooking and travel. Student interaction is his favorite part of the job and encourages students to visit his office if they wish to do so.
