Meet The Staff

Resident Director: Brooke Swarthout Brooke was born and raised in the Hudson Valley where she received her associate's degree from Ulster County Community College. She transferred to SUNY Potsdam where she was hired a Resident Assistant for two years. She holds a Bachelor of the Arts in Speech Communication and Business Administration. Brooke also received a Master of Science in Teaching English from SUNY Potsdam. For the past two years, she has served as a professional Resident Director at SUNY Potsdam. During that time, she created the Transfer House and provided special programming to meet the unique needs of transfer students. She wanted future students to have a smoother transition from community college to a four year institution than she did. She is sensitive to and concerned about the unique needs that community college students have. She is excited to help the residents at MCC start here and go anywhere! Alexander Resident Assistants
