Rules
1) All MCC students, faculty, and staff are welcome to submit solutions.
2) Solutions must be submitted by the last (non-Saturday) class day of the current puzzler month.
3) Those submitting correct solutions will be recognized by having their name posted on the puzzler webpage, in the MLC (11-204), and in the ILC (Damon City Campus).
4) Each month, one correct student solution will be randomly chosen to win a prize. Priority will be given to those who have not yet won a prize.
5) A solution will be deemed correct if it gives a correct answer and when applicable it provides the reasoning behind why the answer is correct and how it was obtained.
6) Solutions obtained by computer simulation will not be accepted.
To submit a solution:
1) Neatly write up your solution, clearly identifying the answer and clearly showing all work when applicable.
2) Along with the solution include your name and phone number (so we can contact you if you win the prize).
3) On the Brighton Campus, solutions may be submitted in the Puzzler of the Month drop box in the Math Learning Center (11-204). On the Damon City Campus, solutions may be submitted in the Puzzler of the Month drop box in the Integrated Learning Center.
You may also submit solutions by emailing Steve Kilner at skilner@monroecc.edu (please indicate "puzzler solution" as the subject).
Faculty and Staff may use inter-departmental mail as well.
