Faculty Council

Charlie Clarke:

Charlie Clarke, President

Charlie is a Professor in the  Psychology Department and has been employed at MCC since 1970. He is past chair of Psychology for 18 years. Charlie has served the FA as Contract Administrator and Chief Negotiator from 1984-2008 and as president (since 2005) served on the Negotiating Team for the 2008-2012 Contract. He previously served the FA as Treasurer, Contract Chair and Teaching Director. He is a member of the FA Labor Management Team and the FA Budget, Executive, and Grievance Committees. Charlie is a state-wide union leader serving on the NYSUT Higher Education Council, and as a presenter at state-wide community colleges and the NYSUT Community College Conferences. 

Taine Vinci:

Taine Vinci, Vice President

Taine is a Professor and Assistant Director of  Counseling and Advising and has been employed at MCC since 1978. She has served the FA as Vice President since 2001. She previously served as Interim Adjunct Director, 2000-01. She has served on the 2003, 2004, and 2008 Negotiating Teams. She is a long-standing member of the Labor Management Team and the FA Executive Committee.

Renee Rigoni, Treasurer

Renee is a Professor in Business Administration and Economics and has been employed at MCC since 1988. This is Renee's first year on Faculty Council as Treasurer.

W. Michael Goho, Teaching Director

Mike is a Professor in Engineering Science and Physics and has been employed at MCC since 1985. Mike served as President of the Faculty Association from 1997-2005. He previously served as Vice President, Legislative and Contract Chairs. He was a member of the 1993 Negotiating team. In his capacity as FA president, he served on the 1999, 2003, and 2004 Negotiating Teams. Mike now serves as Contract Administrator and Chief Negotiator for the 2008-2012 contract and for the FA on the Labor Management Team. He serves on the Executive and Grievance Committees.

John Wadach:

John Wadach, Teaching Director

John is a Professor and Department Chair in Engineering Science and Physics and has been employed at MCC since 1984.  John previously served the FA as Legislative Chair. Presently, he serves as Teaching Director on Faculty Council and also serves on the Executive Committee. He is also a labor delegate to the Rochester Labor Council.

Anne Perry:

Anne Perry, Professional Staff Director

Anne is a Senior Specialist in Academic Services and has been employed at MCC since 2003. Anne serves as Professional Staff Director on Faculty Council. Anne served on the 2008 Negotiating Team  and is also a trained mediator for the FA Mediation Project.

Paul Wheeler, Professional Staff Director

Paul is Assistant Director of Purchasing and has been employed at MCC since 1999. Paul serves as Professional Staff Director on Faculty Council. Paul served as a member of the 2004 Negotiating Team and presently serves the FA as a member of the Labor Management Team. Paul is an administrator/mediator for the FA Mediation Project and a member of the FA Legislative Committee.

Jeffrey Kiggins, Contract Chair

Jeff is an Instructor in the Biology Department and has been employed at MCC since 2005. This is Jeff's first year as Contract Chair on Faculty Council.

Bethany Gizzi:

Bethany Gizzi, Grievance Chair

Bethany is an Assistant Professor in Sociology (AHPS) and has been employed since 1997. Bethany is presently serves as Grievance Chair on Faculty Council and previously served as Adjunct Director and Membership Chair on Faculty Council. Bethany has served on the 2003, 2004, and 2008 Negotiating Teams. Bethany also serves on the Executive Committee.

Christy Fogal, Institutional Chair

Christine is an Assistant Professor and Assistant Director in Admissions and has been employed at MCC since 1999. Christine serves as Institutional Chair on Faculty Council.

Cheryl Mahoney:

Cheryl Mahoney, Benefits Chair

Cheryl is an Assistant Professor in the Nursing Department and has been employed at MCC since 2000. Cheryl is presently the Benefits Chair on Faculty Council. Cheryl is also serving as a member of the FA Labor Management Team for the 2008-09 academic year.  

Ellen Mancuso:

Ellen Mancuso, Legislative Chair

Ellen is an Associate Professor and Access Services Librarian on the Brighton Campus and has been employed at MCC since 1989. Ellen has served as Legislative Chair on Faculty Council since 1997. She lobbies for the Faculty Association with NYSUT/Albany, and coordinates the legislative functions for the Faculty Association. She serves as a FA delegate to the Rochester Labor Council and works with COPE (Committee on Political Education). She is a graduate of the NYSUT Leadership Institute and has served the FA on the Labor Management Subcommittee for the Study of Professional Titles and Salaries. Ellen has also served as a rotating member of the Labor Management team.

FA  Staff

Marlene Goho:

Marlene Goho, Administrative Director

Marlene is Administrative Director of the Faculty Association and has been employed by the FA since 1978.  Presently, she’s responsible for the operation of the FA. Marlene is the co-editor of the Faculty Association Newsletter, FA labor historian, contract researcher, and serves the FA on the budget, grievance and   executive Committees. She also serves as liaison for the FA to the Rochester Labor Community. Marlene has presented workshops at the NYSUT community college conferences. She has a B.S. Degree from Roberts Wesleyan College, a Masters Certificate in Labor Relations  from the School of Labor and Industrial Relations at Cornell University, and a Certificate from the Rochester Mediation Center in Mediation/Conciliation. She is the Administrator of the FA Mediation Project and teaches part-time in Transitional Studies.

Sonja Lenhard:

Sonja Lenhard, FA Secretary

Sonja is Secretary of the FA and has been employed by the FA since January 1999. In addition to her regular clerical duties, Sonja also works as a contract researcher and as a contributor to the Faculty Association Newsletter. Sonja previously worked for the Town of Henrietta and in banking at the Mortgage Department at Chase Bank from 1989-1996. Sonja has a certificate in Travel and Tourism from FLCC.
